Thurs Jan 24, 2013 Pitcairn Island:
Today we stopped Pitcairn Island, in Botany Bay. The people who live are are descendants of
the Mutiny on the Bounty. Fletcher
Christian and several other crew sailed
with 12 polynesians to Pitcairn. The
people there were supposed to come aboard the Amsterdam and talk to us
and sell their crafts.

Unfortunately they couldn’t come because 35% of the
population (over 20 of 57) have the flu that is in Chicago and the US right
now. They got it from a cruise ship that
had passed through 2 weeks before us. We
stopped and their boat came out to pick up the supplies we were bringing
them. The ship also donated
supplies to make up for the lost money
since they couldn’t come on board. We
then cruised around the island to see it.
That day the crew dressed as pirates and that night it was pirate night
in the dining room.
Sat Jan 26. Another
sea day before arriving in Tahiti.
Tonight we went to the 2nd show of Abbafab. They are a music group that sings all songs
from Abba. Both shows were lots of
fun.
