We are in Devil’s Island but there are no Tasmanian Devils
here though. This is a French Island
that used to be a prison. It’s like
Alcatraz in French Guiana. There’s a
movie made after it called Papillon.
They were showing it in the theater as we write this blog entry.

We walked around the island and looked at the
buildings.

We also saw lots of
animals. We saw monkeys and a kind of
rat they have. It has no tail. We also saw lots of lizards.

There were lots of birds too. There were peacocks and
parrots- macaws. There were also
hummingbirds. We took lots of animal and
flower photos today.

We left 3 hours late because the door for the tenders got
stuck open. They had to fix it before we
left of course.
Cman, I really enjoyed reading your blog! It was very interesting to get your perspective on things, many of which I did also while on the cruise. It was a pleasure sailing with you, your mom, and your grandparents!
