Snorkeling in Seychelles

March 28, Victoria, Seychelles
We are in the Seychelles today.  We went snorkeling, I saw lots of colorful fish.  We went snorkeling on a coral reef in Marine park.  We took a boat ride out to the spot where we snorkeled.
After our snorkeling we went to see some giant tortoises at the resort where we took the boat from.  They are very old and big.  Tortoises only live on land, that’s what makes them different from turtles.  The ones in the botanic gardens in Victoria are 300 years old.
After lunch on the ship, we went to town.  In town we took photographs and saw lots of shops.  I wanted to buy a spider shell, but we didn’t think it is allowed to be brought back into the US.
The Seychelles are home to a rare giant coco de mer palm tree.  They grow coconuts that weigh up to 60lbs.  They are huge.  They grow on one of the other islands so we didn’t see them.
